Jamón Serrano is a dried delicacy made according to a traditional recipe from white pig - a type of hybrid crossed with different breeds. This type of jamón is more accessible and widespread in Spain. It's dried for at least a year (but not more than 15 months) and thus acquires a much deeper aroma and firmer texture than Italian prosciutto, for example. It has a soft and natural taste. We recommend it as an appetiser in combination with cheese and olives, or in the preparation of Spanish cooked dishes.
